Until now, replacing a sewer line meant digging up trees, lawns, driveways, parking lots and roads.

On January 25th, 2001, at the request of Roto-Rooter Plumbers, Wichita's office of Central Inspection Board approved the process of "Trenchless Sewer Replacement." Roto-Rooter Plumbers replaced the sewer and saved "Fat Esther", a 40' tall Colorado Blue Spruce tree. "Skinny Esther" also escaped any damages.
