Concerning the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

We are committed to the health and safety of our customers. Roto-Rooter is considered an essential service provider during the coronavirus outbreak. We are fully staffed and continue to schedule service appointments.

Contaminated water continues to be the single greatest cause of human disease and death for most of the world. The wastewater industry continues to be vital to our way of life. Having more people at home cooking and using the facilities makes it critical for people to get emergency plumbing services.

Our family owned Roto-Rooter has over 80 years of experience and is recognized and trusted in Wichita to know and follow both local plumbing codes and standards as well as the best practices and guidance of Roto-Rooter, the nation’s largest plumber. We strive to utilize the latest proven technology and care deeply about the health of the communities we serve.

Roto-Rooter is following the guidance of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Some of the measures we are taking to keep our customers safe, while working to prevent the possible spread of this disease are:


  • All of our service technicians will have their temperature checked at the beginning of each shift

  • We will attempt to keep a six-foot distance from our customers if possible , and will stop handshaking. We will greet you with a smile in the meantime.

  • Because of our extensive computer records, we can clean many lines without needing to enter your home. We will attempt to spend minimal time in your home.

  • Our customers do not have to touch any of our equipment. All of our vehicles have GPS time-tracking and we will not require a signature for proof of service to enforce your warranties.

  • Our technicians are equipped with and use personal protective equipment, especially gloves. They carry disinfectants for sanitation of high tough surfaces and work areas.

  • We are reminding all of our employees about frequent hand washing.

  • We are regularly cleaning and disinfecting our facilities and equipment.

  • We are requiring our employees to stay home from work if they feel sick
